Start Here: What to Know Before You Book

Thanks for considering Capital District Equipment Rental! We're a small, family-run business based in Ballston Lake, NY, proudly serving Saratoga Springs, Albany, and the surrounding areas. Whether you're planning a backyard celebration, graduation party, or casual get-together, we're here to make the rental process smooth and stress-free.

Before sending an inquiry, here are a few helpful tips to get started:

Choose Your Event Date

Most events happen over the weekend. We typically set up on Thursday or Friday and take down on Monday or Tuesday. Your tent and rentals are yours for the whole weekend—make the most of it! Host a Friday night cookout, Saturday event, and even a Sunday brunch.

Estimate Your Guest Count

You don’t need an exact headcount—we get it! Just plan to have enough coverage under the tent in case of rain. If needed, we can often bring a few extra chairs or tables to give you some flexibility.

Check Your Setup Area

Tents must be installed on a completely clear and flat surface—no shrubs, patio furniture, or obstructions. Not sure if your space works? Send us a few photos, and we’ll take a look!

Underground Utilities

We secure tents using stakes driven about 3 feet into the ground, so it’s critical to know if there are sprinkler systems, septic tanks, electric lines, or anything buried underground. If you’re unsure, call 811 (Dig Safe)—it's free and ensures everyone’s safety.
